NEVADA CONTRACTORS TRADE AND EXAM INFORMATION

Complete Contractor Services is licensed through the Commission on Post Secondary Education, and can assist you in preparing for your

Nevada Contractors exams. We offer our EXAM PREPARATION via distance learning. What is DISTANCE LEARNING? We send you the exact information you need to study at your home or office on your computer, it is that simple. There is no need to study on someone else’s schedule or spend time away from your busy work schedule. When the others offer you “Home Study Material” its not the actual material you need for the exams, that material must be studied in their office on their schedule. Complete Contractor Services is the only school of our type in the State of Nevada licensed for DISTANCE LEARNING.

Remember Complete Contractor Services is now offering OSHA 10 and 30 training in our new classroom as required by the new Nevada law.

***As of April 11, 2013 the Contractors Management Survey Exam (CMS-Law) now requires 75% to pass***

All licensees are required to take and pass the Contractors Management Survey, and may be required to take and pass a specific Trade Exam. Below are the current trade classifications associated with the Nevada State Contractors Board. The trades marked by an * require that a trade exam be taken and passed. For specific trades or questions please call or e-mail us.

Once you enroll with Complete Contractor Services we will send you a disk with the CMS portion of the exam and if you are required to take a trade exam, your trade specific material. Below you will see a sample of what the study guide will look like. After you install the program on your computer you will need to enter your password. The program will then allow you to choose either the CMS or Trade portion to study. You will have an allotted amount of time to study both. Once the allotted time has been reached, the program will expire. At that time, you will need to contact Complete Contractor Services to acquire additional time. As you can see in the second picture, the question is given along with the page number of where in the book the answer can be found. This particular question is answered out of the PSI Book and may not reflect the new and updated laws. All correct choices will be in RED LETTERS or NUMBERS.

After you have studied, and feel you are ready to take a practice exam, you will be able to come into the study room and take computerized practice exams. This will be similar to your study program but without the references or highlighted answer. The program will grade your practice exam then show you the questions you missed with the correct answer. How much easier could it be?

Complete Contractor Services also has all the information on resources for code and reference books available for our clients, including out of print and no longer published books. There are no minimum orders or clubs to join just give us a call and we can point you in the right direction.

Note: Arizona, Utah, and California contractors may have reciprocity with regards to trade exams. Contact CCS for specific details.
